Accredited Institutional Membership

The NASM Handbook contains standards and guidelines used to make decisions about accredited institutional Membership.This section of the NASM Web site explains procedures only.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  The NASM Handbook (the content) and the Membership Procedures documents (the process) must be used together in reviews for accredited institutional Membership.


NEW APPLICANTS
Includes welcome message and important recommendations for institutions considering Membership or making an application for the first time.

OFFICIAL NASM STANDARDS AND PROCEDURES
FOR NEW AND RENEWAL APPLICATIONS

Specific complete procedures for full reviews for first-time applications or continuation of Accredited Institutional Membership.  These procedures include applications for new curricula and substantive change occurring at the time of the full review.

OTHER PROCEDURES
A list of other NASM procedures, with links to locations of each. These are primarily associated with Accredited Institutional Membership, but also includes procedures related to two unique types of non-accredited reviews.
