2010 Annual Meeting Information

National Association of Schools of Music
EIGHTY-SIXTH ANNUAL MEETING
November 19 - 23, 2010

The Westin Copley Place Hotel
Boston, Massachusetts

NASM is pleased to present a detailed guide to its 86th Annual Meeting.

On-site registration for the NASM Annual Meeting will open at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010. An orientation for music executives new to NASM will be held on Saturday, November 20 at 4:00 p.m.

The NASM Annual Meeting will conclude at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23.

Representatives of non-member institutions are welcome at the meeting.

The meeting format will devote two general sessions to the topic of "Creative Approaches," as well as continuing the Association's multiyear discussion of advocacy.

The meeting will again feature scheduled times for roundtable discussion groups. These will provide opportunities for participants to raise questions about curriculum-oriented leadership issues addressed in the previous sessions, as well as other subjects introduced by attendees.

Concurrent sessions will be held on topics such as multidisciplinary multimedia--issues and questions in program organization, and P-12 teacher retention--policy issues and practical steps for schools and departments of music.

Rounding out the program will be regional meetings, training workshops, open forums, and interest group sessions.
