Kirsten Morgan

Kirsten Morgan joined The Diller-Quaile School of Music faculty in 1981 and became the Executive Director in 1998. She currently teaches children’s Dalcroze classes, as well as teacher development courses in Early Childhood Music. Ms. Morgan has served as a Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the National Guild for Community Arts Education and is Chair Emeritus of the National Guild’s Members Council. Additionally, she has served on the Music Panel of the New York State Council on the Arts.

Ms. Morgan serves NASM as a visiting evaluator. She was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2017.

Ms. Morgan holds a Master of Science degree in Education in the program of Educational Leadership from Bank Street College of Education, a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance from Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Harold Bennett and Harvey Sollberger, as well as New York State School Administrator and Supervisor certification and a Dalcroze certificate. Ms. Morgan has also studied at the University of Michigan.
