Kirsten Morgan joined The Diller-Quaile School of Music faculty in 1981 and became the Executive Director in 1998. She currently teaches children’s Dalcroze classes, as well as teacher development courses in Early Childhood Music. Ms. Morgan has served as a Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the National Guild for Community Arts Education, and is Chair Emeritus of the National Guild’s Members Council. She currently serves on the FY18 Music Panel of the New York State Council on the Arts.
Ms. Morgan serves NASM as a visiting evaluator, and has participated as an Annual Meeting presenter.
Ms. Morgan holds a bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance from Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Harold Bennett and Harvey Sollberger, a Master of Science in Education in the program of Educational Leadership from Bank Street College of Education, NYS School Administrator and Supervisor certification, and a Dalcroze certificate. Additionally, Ms. Morgan studied at the University of Michigan.
