Thomas R. Webster

Thomas R. Webster serves as Professor of Music and Dean of the School of Communication and Performing Arts at East Texas Baptist University (ETBU). Prior to his appointment at ETBU in 1999, he served on the music faculty at Howard Payne University. Dean Webster is a former president of the Texas Association of Music Schools. As a woodwind performer, Dean Webster has performed with the Longview Symphony, the South Arkansas Symphony, the Midland Odessa Symphony and the Marshall Symphony Orchestras, as well as the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. He has conducted the Longview Symphony Orchestra and is an active church musician.

Dean Webster has served NASM as Secretary and Vice Chair of Region 9.

Dean Webster earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Fine Arts degree at Texas Tech University, a Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting degree at Texas Christian University, and a Bachelor of Music in Church Music degree at Howard Payne University.
