C. Brad Foley

C. Brad Foley is currently Dean and Professor of Saxophone of the School of Music and Dance at the University of Oregon, after joining the faculty in 2002. Prior to this appointment, he served as Dean and Assistant Dean of the School of Music at East Carolina University during a 23-year tenure at that institution. He has served on the boards of the Oregon Bach Festival, Eugene Symphony Orchestra, Greenville Choral Society, and the New Carolina Sinfonia. He serves as co-director of the UO’s music series, ChamberMusic@Beall. Dean Foley has performed across the United States and Canada in numerous settings as a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician playing the saxophone and oboe. Past editor of the Saxophone Symposium and an elected officer of the North American Saxophone Alliance, he has presented and performed at meetings of the National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors as well as the North American Saxophone Alliance.

Dean Foley was first elected to the Commission on Accreditation in 2014.

Dean Foley earned the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Wind Performance from the University of Michigan, and the Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Ball State University.
