Daniel Goble

Daniel Goble is the Director of the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Colorado State University (CSU). Prior to his appointment at CSU, Professor Goble served as the Dean of the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Western Connecticut State University, where his administrative role included service as Chair of the Department of Music and Coordinator of Jazz Studies.

As a saxophonist, Professor Goble has performed with the New York Philharmonic for over 20 years, as well as with the New York City Ballet, the American Symphony Orchestra, the Mariinsky Orchestra, the New York Saxophone Quartet, and the Harvey Pittel Saxophone Quartet. His recordings include Freeway (CRI 876) and Mad Dances, American Music for Saxophone and Piano (Troy 1251). His recording of Quartet, Opus 22, by Anton Webern, conducted by Robert Kraft, is published on the Naxos label.

Professor Goble currently serves as Chair of the Accrediting Commission for Community and Precollegiate Arts Schools (ACCPAS). He served as a member of the NASM Commission on Accreditation from 2016–2021. He previously served on the Board of Directors from 2012–2014 as Chair of Region 6.

Professor Goble received Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, and Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance and Bachelor of Music Education degrees from the University of Northern Colorado.
