Donna M. Bohn

Donna M. Bohn is Chair of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. In the course of her career in higher education, her teaching duties have spanned the entire music core and percussion curricula. As a percussionist/timpanist, she has performed with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Holland (Michigan) Symphony Orchestra, Grand Rapids Symphonic Band, Kansas City Wind Symphony, and Kansas City Percussion Quartet.

Professor Bohn’s professional interests include curricular development, as well as assessment and recruitment, and she has served as a consultant in this area to several institutions. She has participated in university-wide committees, most notably as chair of Faculty Development and Welfare, completing a new faculty policy manual and initiating a faculty development grant program.

Professor Bohn has served NASM as a Visiting Evaluator, as member of the 2014 Nominating Committee, and an Annual Meeting presenter and panelist.

She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance from the University of Alabama, a Master of Music in Performance from Wichita State University, and Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of Alabama.
