Cynthia Bridges is Dean of the Division of Communications, Fine Arts and Social Sciences at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas. She served previously as Chair of the Department of Music and Associate Professor of Music. Prior to her appointment at Del Mar College, she was Associate Professor of Music and Director of Bands and Music Education at Malone University in Canton, Ohio. She served as the Chair of the Department of Music at Malone from 2006 to 2009.
In addition to her duties, Dean Bridges has served on the Council of Department Chairs, which she chaired in 2014, as well as other institutional committees and professional societies.
Dean Bridges was a member of the Commission on Community College Accreditation from 2016 to 2022.
Dean Bridges holds a Doctor in Philosophy in Music Education and Master of Arts in Music Education from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa, and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Performance from Texas State University.
