Earnest L. Lamb

Earnest L. Lamb is currently Dean of the College of Arts, Media, and Communication at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Prior to this appointment, he served as Chair of the Department of Performing and Fine Arts at Fayetteville State University.

Dean Lamb is a former member of the Fayetteville Symphony, Memphis Symphony and Arkansas Symphony orchestras. His scholarly activities include writing and producing for public radio, Blacks in Classical Music and From Spiritual to Symphony: A Portrait of Florence Smith Price. The latter received numerous local and national awards, including first place honors in the portrait division from the Foundation for Women in Radio and Television.

Dean Lamb holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Musicology from the University of North Texas, with a specialization in American music. He holds Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Cello Performance from the University of Memphis (formerly Memphis State University) and Indiana University respectively.
